My guess is that there aren’t compatible drivers for this to work on an iPad, however, last year I beleive some of you guys reported that it is working on a MacBook. Thanks to the cut-out at the back and front, the flash.

Last month, we got to grips with Windows 10 Mobile. For the last test, I plugged a USB stick, which sadly also didn’t show up in the Files app. The touch-sensitive screen, volume control, dock, headphone connection and camera are easily accessible. Display outputs: HDMI, DisplayPort, USB ports: USB-C x2, USB x3, Dimensions: 64圆4x26mm, Weight: 230g. Tried plugging in a HDMI cable connected to a monitor alongside with power and nothing happened. The iPad could receive power from it, since it showed up as charging for a while, but then it stopped.
The first thing I did is that I dug up the good old MS Display dock to see if it could be used with an iPad. Lightning is probably a no-go because you need USB-C with the DisplayPort alt mode, and I doubt Apple's converter converts the video signal as well. In some countries, Microsoft is giving away a Display Dock with the purchase of the Microsoft Lumia 950 and the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL. Now this last year I got an iPad Air 3rd gen and this year I decided to buy the fast charger, that comes with Lightning to USB-C cable. Well, the situation has changed and I believe that about a year ago I wrote a post here being curious about which devices the MS Display Dock could be used with to serve as a dongle. I used to have a Lumia 950 and I got myself a MS Display dock to play with Continuum every now and then.
